Magistrate Noel Orellana pointed out that the Electoral Code sets the final scrutiny must take place no later than 48 hours after closing polling stations, that is, on March 5, date on which TSE must start off the final municipal and PARLACEN election counts.
In statements to the press, Orellana granted that all political parties will have their representatives to check and conduct such a scrutiny, which the Electoral Code mandates to do within 48 hours.
Orellana noted that it is just almost to confirm the data that each Receiving Board has made in the preliminary scrutiny, in which the New Ideas party and allies claim 43 seats, although the 44, won by Milagro Navas, from Arena, has already announced that she will work with Bukele’s Government.
