According to Mujahid, Unama has the responsibility to help Afghanistan restore diplomatic relations.
The official also accused the United Nations of being affected by major world powers and said its decisions on Afghanistan have been doubtful.
The UN decisions on Afghanistan have been questionable and the organization is under the shadow of the world’s major powers; the UN has met only the expectations of those nations on the service of justice, the spokesman said.
He added that Unama’s reports on the crisis in Afghanistan were inflated and not based on facts on the ground.
The mandate of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan ends on March 17 and the UN Security Council is expected to hold a meeting on the issue.
