During a keynote speech at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Rome on February 29, Limia stressed that during his tour of Italy, he could appreciate the great interest in the Cuban revolutionary project among young people, who see that system as a compass to build a fairer society.
Limia, who is also a member of the Association of Cuban Historians and the National Association of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC), gave an account of the results of his tour, which began in Rome on February 10.
The tour included launching his book in Naples, Lecce, Brindisi, Cosenza, Perugia, and Florence on February 11, 14, 15, 17, 20, and 23, respectively, and Milan on February 25-27.
Limia talked about the current situation in Cuba, which has been a victim of a tightening of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States, besides an escalation of subversive actions to undermine the majority support of the Cuban people for their revolutionary process.
Cuban Ambassador to Italy, Mirta Granda, during thursdays activity, emphasized the importance of those events, which were attended by members of the Associations of Friendship with Cuba, the Cuban residents in Italy, and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Italy.
