“We stand in solidarity with the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the face of this new act of dispossession of its patrimony, in violation of International Law,” the head of Cuban diplomacy wrote on his X account.

On Thursday, the Government of Venezuela expressed its strongest protest and denunciation before the international community against the vandal actions taken by the United States against the aircraft of Empresa de Transporte Aerocargo del Sur (Emtrasur).

The Cuban Foreign Ministry ‘categorically’ denounced in a communiqué such acts, which it described as ‘irrational anger against the Venezuelan people.’

The US Government tore the Emtrasur aircraft apart in complicity with Argentinean authorities, in whose territory it was stolen last February 12, after being illegally seized, without any crime, for 20 months, the text indicated.

The statement noted that this action ‘makes it the most miserable act of piracy in the history’ of our region.

It warned that Venezuela will take all legal, diplomatic and political measures to safeguard its rights as a sovereign country in the defense of its patrimonial assets.
