Aboul Gheit expressed his strong condemnation of the continued attacks by the Israeli Armed Forces against civilians in the Gaza Strip and criticized the massacre committed yesterday, which caused the death of more than a hundred Palestinians and the injury of more than 700.

The incident is “a barbaric and deeply brutal act,” which demonstrates (Israeli) disregard for human lives, he stressed, noting that a ceasefire became an inevitable necessity to save hundreds of thousands of people from death by hunger or bombings.

He also called on the international community to pressure Israel to “stop this daily slaughter and comply with international laws.”

The massacre committed yesterday provoked a wave of condemnation in the Middle East, which included official condemnations from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt and Yemen.
