The coordinator of para-athletes in the Cuban Federation of Taekwondo, Ernesto de la Cuesta, told the digital newspaper Jit that at least two of them must qualify for the Paralympic Games in Paris 2024.
The four athletes are Lilisbet Rodriguez (47 kilograms), Lidia Monte de Oca (over 65), Marcos Antonio Mayor (over 63) and Michel Ernesto Suarez (70), all competitors at the 7th Para-Pan American Games of Santiago de Chile in 2023.
The continental qualifier will take place from April 9 to 10 in the Dominican Republic, which will host the G-1 open.
