Moscow, Feb 28 (Prensa Latina) Denmark's decision to end the investigation into the Nord Stream pipeline explosions confirms the lack of interest in the West to find the culprits, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

The decision, which followed the one made by Sweden, fully confirms that Western countries are not interested in detecting the real perpetrators and executors of the attacks on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, the diplomat said.

Last Monday, the Danish police informed that it had closed its investigation into the Nord Stream pipeline attacks.

According to its statement, They did not find sufficient grounds to initiate criminal proceedings in connection with the incident, but concluded that deliberate sabotage had taken place.

Earlier, Sweden made the same decision.

On September 26, 2022, explosions occurred on two Russian export pipelines, Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2. Germany, Denmark and Sweden did not rule out the possibility of deliberate sabotage.

The operating company Nord Stream AG reported that the pipelines underwent unprecedented destruction and it was impossible to assess the time it would take to repair.

Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office opened an investigation, calling the incident an act of international terrorism.
