In the Sierra Maestra hall of the Hotel Melia Santiago de Cuba, it was also announced that over 160 documentaries from 10 countries were sent, from which 25 were selected to be submitted to the jury’s evaluation at the Rialto cinema and the Museum of the Image.

Lazara Herrera, president of Santiago Alvarez In Memoriam and widow of the renowned filmmaker, called on the population to go to the cinemas and thanked the Provincial Film Center of Santiago de Cuba, the Colombian Embassy and the Government for their contribution and support for the festival.
