That initiative emerged in 2022 aimed at teaching the population to handle communication tools, namely, new platforms, but without neglecting traditional media such as radio, television and cinema.
The fiction films Elena and Hotel Limbo were the first two short films born of the popular project, which had their premiere at the Cipress cinema in Caracas, where over 50 students received certificates, according to a press release.
The head of INCES Wuikelman Angel Paredes explained that the school arose from the need to train technical personnel who work in the media and do not have an educational institution to support and reinforce their knowledge.
Paredes noted that the call for training is permanent, pointing out that they are willing to “go to every parish and community” to support popular communication.
The General Coordinator of the School of Media and Communication Winder Rivero said that both Elena and Hotel Limbo were made, from the idea and script writing to the shooting process, only with the participation, in the technical areas, of 16 members of a comprehensive three-month course.
The short films are expected to be presented at some festivals as “the result of a training process.”
The press release invited the general public to take part in the INCES’ Media School, whose training initiative is free of charge and with on-site and online classes.
