Usually, the MWC that takes place every year at the Fira de Barcelona is a sort of concert of technological novelties, but amazement is its traemark as it happens now with the Alef Model A car from a California startup, accompanied by a Hispano-Suiza simulator.
The prototype has an autonomy of 120 kilometers of flight, but its great goal is to be able to drive and fly. That is, with normal traffic it would move like any other car and in the face of congestion, it could avoid traffic jams.
“It’s a flying car like the ones we see in science fiction. Driving and flying efficiently, going on the highway, for example, when there is no traffic. We’re keeping that option because we don’t want to change the existing infrastructure,” Constantine Kisly, chief technology officer of Alef Aeronautics, told reporters. Motorola surprises with a foldable model with a 6.9-inch flexible pOLED display with native FHD+ resolution “that can be folded and given different shapes according to users’ needs, such as becoming a wristwatch.”
