The event is part of a collaboration project between these entities, its organizers said today. They explained that Genesis Art Galleries, is a company of the Cuban Ministry of Culture, directed by Jorge Alfonso. It represents the Habana, Acacia, Servando and La Nave galleries.

Misladis Gonzalez Barco, director of Galería Habana, heads the Cuban delegation. During its more than 20 years of existence, the company has been an ally of Cuban artists in the local development of their careers and in their international projection. Representing, producing, promoting and commercializing the works of Cuban visual artists that are part of its galleries’ roster has been its permanent program, targeting national and foreign collectors, according to its directors.

Genesis Galerias de Arte created a set of strategies and alliances with the objective of favoring and guaranteeing a new access to the international public interested in Cuban art, after the restrictions of the Covid-19 and the difficulties to access natural markets for various reasons.
