In the context of this event, the ebook presentation of the book “Los silencios quebrados de San Lorenzo” (The Broken Silences of San Lorenzo), by Doctor of Sciences Rafael Acosta de Arriba, outstanding poet, essayist and member of the Cuban Academy of History, was held.
The Villena Hall of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) hosted the launching of this compilation of essays on Céspedes, based on the study of his life, work and thought.
Acosta de Arriba spoke about this work, which already has four editions in printed format.
He said that the Father of the Homeland “was giving lessons to Cubans in the 19th century, he who was the initiator of the Revolution on October 10, 1868, the first president of the Republic in Arms, had an impeccable conduct throughout his revolutionary career until his death”.
