According to the site www.giron.cu, the initiative with a proposal from the international project Retomando el Son, Bailando Casino, of Cuban culture houses and ARTEX maintains an open call, so interested dance couples can approach the culture centers of their locality and audition to join the rehearsals.
The media points out that in Matanzas the provincial dance methodologist María Alejandra Quevedo will direct the casino wheels with the purpose of preparing the Matanzas representation for such an important event.
The choreography will be practiced in parts in all the territories of the country, which will then be united in regional rehearsals scheduled for next March 16, while the date to try to break the record is scheduled for next May 5 in the Plaza de la Revolución of the Cuban capital.
