With the efforts of the President of the National People’s Power Assembly, Esteban Lazo, during his visit to Kenya, and the meeting with President William Ruto, sensitive, even limited information was obtained, which will allow making progress in the clarification of the alleged deaths of the doctors in Somalia, where they were taken after being kidnapped.

Lazo, who was Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel’s special envoy for this matter, also noted the spirit of cooperation by the Kenyan Government, and expressed gratitude for its understanding in this sensitive and painful matter, the Cuban Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

The information obtained is currently being processed by the authorities in charge of following up such an important investigation.

In the meantime, efforts continue with various governments and international actors in search of cooperation and further clarification.
