On his X account, Rodríguez expressed that everyone in Cuba has the right to profess or not to profess religious beliefs, to change them, and to practice one of his preferences.
The foreign minister recently said on the same platform that Cuba’s repeated inclusion in the unilateral reports of the United States responds to the need to justify its inhumane measures of encirclement and economic war against Cuba.
The diplomat added that his country’s inclusion in the US lists of terrorism, Human Rights, and religious freedom has nothing to do with the exemplary performance of Cuba.
In January this year, Cuba and Nicaragua were reinstated in a list unilaterally drawn up by Washington of countries that the US Government says have “engaged in or tolerated particularly severe violations of religious freedom.”
