The official told the Sputnik news agency on Sunday that the first to vote are the residents of settlements near the contact line, including military personnel.
Katyushchenko recalled that members of the district electoral commissions will bring ballot boxes and ballots to the homes of residents in the region near the front line, and will have their identification with them.
Voters will vote by presenting a passport of a Russian or Ukrainian citizen, as previously decided by the regional electoral commission.
In most of the territory of the Russian Federation, polling stations will open on March 17.
Earlier, Katyushenko had said that early voting in the entire Zaporozhie region for the Russian presidential elections would begin on February 25.
