Through a statement in X, the Ministry called on the international community to increase pressure on Israel through firm positions to stop these hostile actions, which undermine the possibilities of the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Lebanon reaffirmed that only just solutions will bring peace to the Middle East, end tensions and wars that have been ongoing for more than 76 years and provide stability.

It also emphasized that it is time for Israel to experience peace as an alternative to war and occupation.

The Palestinian government rejected Israeli plans to build more than 3,330 homes in three Jewish colonies near the occupied area of East Jerusalem.
