Cuba urges the sending to Gaza of the Protection Mission mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to protect the Palestinian people and deliver humanitarian aid, the Antillean head of state wrote on the social network X.

Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez also expressed Cuba’s support for Abbas’ call to the international community, and affirmed that the Israeli genocide against the civilian population of that nation must stop.

The highest representative of the island’s diplomacy urged to stop the massacre and ensure that international relief organizations deliver emergency humanitarian aid.

Abbas today reiterated his demand for an end to Israel’s aggression against Gaza and blamed that country for the spread of diseases, epidemics and famine in the territory, which is currently experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.

During a meeting in Ramallah with the head of the Palestinian Red Crescent, Younis Al-Khatib, the president urged the world for immediate intervention to stop the military offensive.
