The state news agency ACNC reported that the chairman of the central committee of the Russian political organization, G. A. Zhuganov, recalled in his message that the predecessor leader devoted his whole life to the improvement of the living standards of the Korean people.

He added that by continuing the cause of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il mobilized all the Korean people in the building of a socialist power, practicing Songun politics amid the unstable international situation.

Zhuganov noted that under his wise leadership, the DPRK has become an advanced power with nuclear weapons, developing sophisticated technologies and providing excellent living conditions for all citizens.

He also expressed the conviction that the friendly relations between the Communist Party of Russia and the Workers’ Party of Korea will continue to be strengthened in the future and bring greater results to the brotherly peoples of the two countries.
