French association proud of its support to Cuba

para-nora-cubacoop
Paris, Feb 22 (Prensa Latina) The Cuba Coopération France (CubaCoop) association stressed its pride in accompanying the island with various initiatives in difficult times, aggravated by the impact of the U.S. economic, commercial, and financial blockade.

In its weekly publication La lettre électronique Hebdo, which reaches thousands of subscribers on French soil, the founding president of the organization, Roger Grevoul, ratified the commitment with actions ranging from political campaigns to decentralized cooperation projects in sectors such as water and sanitation, energy, food, culture, and sports.

In this regard, he reiterated the appeal for funds recently launched to send basic necessities to Cuba, particularly powdered milk for children and other vulnerable people.

The association created in 1995 recognized through Grevoul the resilience of Cubans in the face of the difficulties caused by the blockade, a policy with more than six decades of application, and the will to move forward.

“Yes, life is hard today in Cuba, its population suffers. All sectors of daily life are affected, but the country does not stop, schools, sports, cultural activities, the health system, all this works, not without problems,” he said.

Likewise, he denounced that those responsible for the difficult situation prevailing as a consequence of the blockade imposed by Washington are the same people who present the island as a failed state.

Everywhere in Cuba, with the actions of the government, local collectives, political militants, unions, and citizens, positive responses are being built in the face of the evils provoked by the violent and renewed U.S. aggressiveness, Grevoul said in the weekly message.
