The set of elements, which was received at the headquarters of the Consulate of the South American nation in Frankfurt in August 2023, entered the country last 19th aboard the presidential plane, the information detailed.
According to the Colombian Institute of Anthropology and History (ICANH), the objects present visible characteristics related to manufacturing styles of pre-Hispanic ceramic and metal pieces from the archaeological regions of Tairona, San Agustin, Guane, Calima and Quimbaya.
In this respect, Juan Ospina, archeology coordinator of the ICANH, expressed it could be supposed that, by the forms, the style, the wear that is observed in several of them, they could be associated to the corpus of archeological patrimony of the nation.
According to him, these elements contribute to the consolidation of the social memory and the identity of a nation.
The objects were obtained through the Martini-Mogg-Vogt law firm, administrators of the inheritance of a German family that declared having acquired the pieces in Colombia in 1974.
