In a statement, Capac described Rubio as a representative of the North American extreme right and pointed out that he is one of the promoters of the policy against the Cuban Revolution.
In addition, it denounced his actions against Venezuela and Rubio’s calls for military intervention in that nation.
Rubio acts against every popular government in Latin America and was denounced for his involvement in the coup d’état against former Bolivian president Evo Morales in 2019, the text states.
The statement also criticizes his ties to the vulture funds that harassed Argentina.
“We ask ourselves: Why did he come?”, the document questions and states that the senator had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Diana Mondino, Milei and the head of Economy Luis Caputo.
“He showed interest in the labor reform and the economic program promoted by the Executive. This occurs the day after the visit of the Chancellor of the United Kingdom, David Cameron, to the Malvinas Islands, a true clamping action on the Argentine people,” he indicates.
Milei’s statements aligning himself with the United States and Israel are clearly reflected in this. There was no response to Cameron’s statements (about British permanence in the islands) and there was a servile condescension towards the American lobbyist, it concludes.
