Cosse said in a press conference that she is concerned about the lack of compass of the current authorities, and warned about the intervention of the Executive Power in the campaign for next October’s elections.
The pro-partisan politician questioned the participation the day before of Lacalle Pou and high government officials in the inauguration of the Aparicio Saravia Center, a space where several government agencies converge in the capital’s Casavalle neighborhood.
It was a festivity with a partisan tone, marked by the presence of the pre-candidates of the ruling National Party, Álvaro Delgado and Laura Raffo.
When asked about it, Cosse stated: “I am concerned about the government interfering in the campaign (…) in the case of the president, it violates the Constitution. But I am much more concerned about the lack of direction”, she pointed out.
“It is a government that told us that it was prepared to rule, and that during all this period of government has not let us rest, throwing out and changing ministers”, she added.
On the contrary, she emphasized that “the program of the Frente Amplio touches all the concerns, challenges of growth, social inclusion, sovereignty and insertion in the world, surrounding the culture of an ecosystem, health”.
The pre-candidate said her campaign “will be one of proposals”.
