During his stay in Caracas, the high diplomat is scheduled to meet with President Nicolás Maduro, Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, and the head of Venezuelan diplomacy, Yván Gil, official sources said in a statement on the social network X, in a press release.
They added that the parties will discuss “key issues” of bilateral cooperation and interaction in the international field, as well as the analysis of global and regional spectrum.
The note pointed out that Venezuela is a “strategic partner and an ally of Russia,” and stressed that bilateral relations, based on strong ties of friendship and solidarity, “are booming and actively developing” in all crucial spheres.
He ratified that Russia will continue to provide “comprehensive support” to the Venezuelan government and people in the defense of national sovereignty and the right to choose their path of development.
The visit of the high diplomat took place 10 months after he arrived in this capital in April 2023, when they agreed on measures to expand trade and investment cooperation.
