PSUV ready to win presidential elections in Venezuela

Caracas, Feb 19 (Prensa Latina) The First Vice President of Venezuela’s United Socialist Party Diosdado Cabello assured on Monday that this political force is ready to win 2024 presidential elections, whose date has not been defined yet by the Electoral Power.

On the usual Monday press briefing, the political leader stated that the organization made up of over five million members is making the pertinent organizational adjustments to pave its way to victory.

Cabello commented that they will make the base teams of up to 10 people, which will guarantee that more persons will be able to intervene in those structures as part of the ongoing process.

The also head of the “Bloque de la Patria” (Homeland Bloc) in the National Assembly-Parliament advanced that in the course of this week, the Party will resume the swearing in of the Popular Units for Peace, created at the end of 2023 by President Nicolas Maduro to guarantee the comprehensive defense of the homeland.

“We are not telling lies when we say that we are going to defend our homeland from any internal or external aggression, and if we have learned anything it is that we have to be prepared,” he pointed out.

In the remainder of February, Cabello referred that they will have mobilizations, which will begin on February 20 with the celebration of the Federation, and three days later they will commemorate the known Battle of the 2019 Bridges, in which the civic-military union defended the national sovereignty.

The authority indicated that on February 27 and 28, they will evoke the Day of the Popular Rebellion of 1989 that unleashed “the Caracazo” of the people against the Government in power, and one day after they will remember the 2004 historic speech of Commander Hugo Chavez (1954-2013), in which he rejected Yankee interventionism.
