According to MINSAP´s Medicines and Medical Technologies Director Cristina Lara, the real thing is that the unprecedented tightening of the hostile and unjust blockade and its extraterritoriality, as well as the inclusion of Cuba in the unilateral States Sponsor of Terrorism (SST) list are significantly harming Cubans.

In statements to the press, Lara explained these provisions prevent Cuba from having links with commercial companies in the United States, real hinder financial operations and affect the development of priority programs including the Maternal and Child Health Program and a program to fight oncological diseases, especially among children, among others.
