The event, which lasted until the early hours of Saturday morning at the Movistar Arena stadium, was aimed at raising funds for the families affected by the fire, which caused the death of 132 persons and destroyed thousands of homes in four municipalities in the Valparaiso region.

Among the artists who participated in the concert were Young Cister, Gino Mella, Kidd Voodoo, Miriam Hernández, Karen Paola, Illapu, Polimá Westcoast and Noche de Brujas.

The Chilean president, Gabriel Boric, thanked everyone for their solidarity with those who are having a hard time and those who volunteered on the ground.

He also highlighted the work of those who are risking their lives to fight fires, among them brigadiers, policemen, armed forces, firefighters, and other emergency teams.

The charity event raised US$5.7 million for the victims in the municipalities of Viña del Mar, Villa Alemana, Quilpué, and Limache.
