The Bolivian Foreign Minister arrived in Venezuela as part of her tour of several Latin American countries, which also included Cuba and Nicaragua.
Coming from Managua, the top diplomat was welcomed late at night by the deputy minister for Latin America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rander Peña, at the Simón Bolívar International Airport, in Maiquetía, La Guaira state.
Caracas and La Paz maintain close ties of brotherhood and cooperation that were evidenced last year with the visit to Venezuela of the Andean nation’s head of state, Luis Arce.
On that occasion, Arce and Maduro signed several bilateral deals in different sectors and agreed to contribute to the integration of the Latin American and Caribbean peoples.
The presidents made progress in this direction with the signing of 13 cooperation agreements in strategic areas.
