This year, the largest literary show on Cuba is dedicating its ample space to pay tribute to Lopez Sacha, who has devoted a great part of his life to pedagogy.

The colloquium will be attended by writers Senel Paz, Laidy Fernández de Juan and Arturo Arango, and there will be the presentation of the book “Voy a escribir la eternidad”, by the guest author, winner of the Alejo Carpentier Novel Prize 2023 for this work.

This narration deserved the award for being “effectively narrated, in which testimony and fiction, literary and historical essay, costumbrist vignette, journalistic chronicle and philosophical reflection are mixed, the president of the jury for this category, Alberto Marrero Fernandez, said on the occasion of the award ceremony.

The city of Manzanillo is the protagonist of Sacha’s story, which, in addition to being the setting, is a resident character in the place, which breathes through the narrative, he said.
