The communication specifies that the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense, Jeyhun Bayramov and Zakir Hasanov, respectively, kept their posts in such important departments.

Aliyev won the early presidential elections on February 7 with 92.12 percent of the votes after the total number of ballots had been counted.

Initially such elections in Azerbaijan were scheduled for October 2025, but in December 2023, the president called them in advance for February 7, 2024, following the events in Nagorno-Karabakh.
