Hezbollah shells Kiryat Shmona in response to Israel’s crimes

Beirut, Feb 15 (Prensa Latina) Lebanon’s Axis of Resistance Movement known as Hezbollah shelled the settlement of Kiryat Shmonaon Thursday, in a preliminary response to the Israel's massacres of civilians in the southern towns of Nabatieh and Al-Sowaneh.

In separate statements, the movement confirmed an initial firing of dozens of Katyusha rockets into the Israeli area and later announced the firing of several Falaq missiles.

According to what was disclosed, both operations had a direct impact and are part of Hezbollah’s actions in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza and in solidarity with their resistance.

In such a context, Israeli media reported the fall of missiles in downtown Kiryat Shmona and the movement of ambulance to the site.

According to the Tel Israeli press, two anti-tank missiles were fired at the settlement without warning, followed by barrages of nine and three rockets, respectively.

The Axis of Resistance further announced on Thursday missile attacks on the enemy’s military site in Ruweisat al-Alam, on the occupied territories of the Shab’a Farms, as well as on the al-Raheb position, al-Marj and the naval base in al-Naqoura.

Southern Lebanon is witnessing an escalation of attacks following Israel’s assassination of 11 civilians by bombings of Nabatieh and Al-Sowaneh on Wednesday, and the response from Hezbollah fighters.

This week, Hezbollah’s political and military leader Hassan Nasrallah noted that the shelling from southern Lebanon will end when the aggression stops and a ceasefire is agreed in the Gaza Strip.
