Cuban Prime Minister visited sustainable city and mosque in UAE

Abu Dhabi, Feb 15 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero toured the sustainable city of Masdar, located in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, as part of his last working day in the Arab country.

During his visit, the head of government and his delegation received detailed information on the development prospects of Masdar and the performance of the Artificial Intelligence University of this territory.

According to the metropolis’ directors, Masdar aspires to be a new type of city, a new way of working, living, and a more sustainable future for all. Currently, 5,000 people already live in the metropolis and another 10,000 work there.

Masdar combines electricity generation with renewable sources, uses energy-saving designs and materials, and encourages education in sustainable living habits.

According to the official account of the Government of Cuba in the social network X, Marrero also paid honors to the founding father of the UAE, Sheikh Sayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, during his visit to the great Sheikh Zayed Mosque.

The Mosque, which spans 555,000 square meters, was born out of the vision of the UAE’s founding father and upholds three fundamental principles: peace, coexistence and tolerance.

The Prime Minister wrote in the visitors’ book that the site reflects the elegance of Emirati architecture, while wishing the people of the UAE much peace and success in their vision for the future.
