From February 9 to 12, 13 new victims were reported due to the virus, which is transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
After Minas Gerais were Paraná, with 14 deaths, the Federal District (DF, 13), Sao Paulo (nine), Goiás (six), Santa Catarina (five), Rio Grande do Sul (four), Río de Janeiro (three) and Espíritu Santo (one).
