Albares met with Israeli Ambassador to Spain Rodica Radian-Gordon and Palestinian Ambassador Husni Abdel Wahed to assess the situation in the Middle East.

According to the source, the foreign minister reiterated his request for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the release of the hostages, and the arrival of humanitarian aid, underlining his concern about the critical situation in Rafah.

On the other hand, the Foreign Ministry underlined Spain’s commitment to progress toward peace in the region based on the implementation of the two-State solution, in line with Albares’s visits to that region.

The Spanish diplomat held meetings at the highest level in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates last week, in addition to his visits to Lebanon and Iraq in late January.
