The overall number of occurrences remained stable compared to 2022, when the Ministry reported 101,845 episodes. Most cases were denounced in March, with 9,748 weapons.
Despite not corresponding to most of the expropriated military equipment, Brazil reported 900 incidents involving submachine guns and machine guns, totaling 568 and 332, respectively.
The main types of confiscated war devices were revolvers, followed by pistols and rifles. The territorial divisions of Minas Gerais (southeast) and Sao Paulo lead the list with the largest seizures.
Minas Gerais topped the number of incidents, with 15,802 seizures, with an average of 43 weapons collected every day.
