In the social network X, Lazo, who is also president of the Council of State, highlighted that Cuban radio workers do their job “with immense love, dedication, and commitment to the people, making the radio a true sound to see”.
The United Nations Organization in 2011 decreed this commemoration, coinciding with the date when, in 1946, the UN radio was created as a service to inform about the activities of its headquarters and its agencies.
The Cuban National Radio System is formed by a hundred radio stations, of which one is international, six national, 19 provincial and 74 municipal, and almost all of them broadcast live audio over the Internet.
