A similar situation and claims are taking place in other territories of the integrationist bloc.
This protest is taking place one day after the government and agricultural associations informed that they had signed an agreement on the matter, something which apparently does not satisfy all farmers, the public radio BNR reported.
The initialing of the document was announced by Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and representatives of the Bulgarian Agrarian Chamber, the National Association of Grain Producers and the National Association of Sheep and Goat Breeders.
However, representatives of other sectors (dairy, meat, fruit or vegetable production) are against the agreement, so they gathered on Tuesday in front of the Government seat to demand a much higher aid of 100 euros per hectare, independent of the size of the enterprises.
The demonstrators poured hundreds of liters of milk in front of the Executive building and some tried to force their way inside the premises but were blocked by the police, without incidents or injuries, according to local media.
The protesters, who are also demanding the resignation of the Agriculture minister, accused Prime Minister Denkov of refusing to receive them.
