The plane landed in Argentina on June 6, last year, with a crew of 19 people, including 14 Venezuelans and five Iranians, and carried cargo for auto parts companies.
The aircraft, continuing its journey, tried to land in Uruguay, but it was denied entry to that country and returned to Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires province.
Although no irregularities have been detected, the plane has been detained in Argentina. Its case has been manipulated by opposition groups, which have even alleged that the crew has links to terrorism.
The Venezuelan Government described the seizure as a “shameful rapacious operation” and assured that it is included in the list of United States aggresions against that nation.
The aircraft was illegally seized in Argentina. Its crew was detained for several months, separated from their families, and subjected to a judicial process.
All its members were acquitted by the same justice system that validated the “seizure” by Washington on Monday, the Network issued in a press release.
