Trinidad and Tobago police seize weapons and liquid cocaine

Port of Spain, February 12 (Prensa Latina) The Trinidad and Tobago Police, during two operations, seized four high-powered rifles, 200 rounds of ammunition, and liquid cocaine with an estimated value of more than 3.6 million dollars.

According to reports, the agents, responding to a tip, went to the complex of a courier company in the area of Trincity, located about 20 kilometers east of the capital, where they intercepted a package. Upon searching, they found weapons, magazines, and ammunition.

In statements to the press, Police Commissioner Erla Harewood-Christopher said the seizure demonstrates law enforcement’s commitment to removing weapons from the streets and addressing the homicide rate.

Harewood-Christopher also praised the officers involved in the seizure of liquid cocaine in another operation in which three individuals were arrested.
