Out of this amount, €470 million will be allocated to the Middle East and North Africa. This is to address the extreme humanitarian needs in Gaza and the regional crisis in Syria, Lebanon and Yemen, as well as another €111 million for Latin America.
According to EC´s estimates, around 300 million people will need humanitarian aid this 2024, so through these deliveries the European Union (EU) seeks to double down on supporting the most vulnerable around the world, Brussels said in a statement.
