With a caliber of 240 millimeters, the projectile and its ballistic trajectory control system were successfully tested once again last Sunday by experts from the Defense Ministry’s Academy of Sciences, the media outlet said.
The institution noted that the rapid technical advancement of the missile and its self-propulsion system will soon validate it for use on the battlefield.
The DPRK claims that the current international situation and threats from the U.S. and its allies in the region, compel it to strengthen and constantly modernize its national defense system.
Last Wednesday, the Supreme People’s Assembly dissolved the reconciliation mechanisms with south Korea in the face of its continued hostile acts, including the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland and the Directorate of National Economic Collaboration.
The highest organ of state power considered that those mechanisms, created in 2005, are meaningless because Seoul’s actions have practically led the parties to a situation of war.
