According to the deputy minister of Multilateral Affairs at the Foreign Ministry, Elizabeth Taylor, the visit by all 15 members of the UN Security Council to the country from February 7 to 11, left profitable experiences and many lessons to be learned.
In her assessment, the head of Colombian diplomacy highlighted the meetings held with different actors such as government institutions responsible for the implementation of the 2016 Peace Agreements, with signatories of the agreement and with President Gustavo Petro.
She also noted the visits to the Territorial Training and Reincorporation Area of Agua Bonita, in Caquetá (south), and Buenaventura, in the southwest.
In the former place, the members of the Security Council saw the productive projects being implemented by people who reincorporated into society, while in the latter, they observed the progress and challenges of the implementation of the Ethnic Chapter of the Peace Agreement.
