The earthquake, which did not cause material losses either, was recorded at 07:48 hours (local time) on Saturday off the coast of the island of La Gonâve, in the western department.
The report specifies that the epicenter was located at 18.79 degrees north latitude and 73.44 degrees west longitude, 20 kilometers southwest of the island of La Gonâve, 53 km northwest of Miragoâne, department of Nippes, and 120 km northwest of Port-au-Prince, at a depth of 12 km.
