The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) announced that 403 sites listed, many of which are related to gambling and betting, as well as illegal transmissions that violate copyrights of sports programs.
The 2022 blacklist included 171 websites with signs of law violation, which according to a government decree issued in July 2021 are barred from receiving cooperation from service distributors and advertising publishers, as well as advertisers.
The MIC also published for the first time last year the white list of websites with verified content which includes 301 newspapers and electronic magazines, 1,381 pages of general electronic information, and 953 licensed social networks with complete information.
The ministry’s Broadcasting and Electronic Information Authority advocates that brands and companies advertise only on those websites included in the latter list.
