The crusade also focuses on former Ministers Augusto Heleno (Institutional Security Office) and Walter Braga Netto (Civil House), the vice president in Bolsonaro’s ticket in the 2022 elections.

Also targeted by the police action were the leader of the Liberal Party, Valdemar da Costa Neto; the former Minister of Defense, General Paulo Sergio Nogueira de Oliveira, and former Minister of Justice Anderson Torres.

According to the newspaper O Globo, two former advisors to Bolsonaro were arrested: Filipe Martins, for International Affairs of the Presidency, and the former assistant of orders, Colonel Marcelo Câmara.

They are being investigated for allegedly participating in a criminal organization that would have acted in the coup plot and in the abolition of the democratic rule of law, in order to keep the then right-wing leader in office (2019-2022).

In total, 33 search and seizure warrants, four preventive arrest warrants and 48 other precautionary measures were served, including prohibition of contact with the other investigated people.
