According to Panahov, Aliyev’s victory for a fifth mandate is resounding, and MP and self-proclaimed candidate Zahid Oruj was second with 2.19 percent of the votes.
Meanwhile, Fazil Mustafa, Chairman of the Great Creation Party, received two percent of the vote, and Gudrat Hasanguliyev, lawmaker and head of the Whole Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, got 1.76 percent.
The other three candidates, Razi Nurullayev, Chairman of the National Front Party; Elshad Musayev, Chairman of the Great Azerbaijan Party, and Fuad Aliyev, former self-proclaimed leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, did not exceed one percent of the votes.
Panahov also announced that 76.73 percent of Azeri voters, some 4,971,032 citizens, cast ballots. About 74.5 percent voted in 2018.
