The experts in charge of the study considered that the climate crisis facing the Earth, due to global warming, is leading to the discovery of greater forces than those historically recorded.
Given this scene, scientists see the need to give a new classification: that of hurricane category 6.
Those also known as tropical cyclones have in category 5 the description that best approximates their most violent versions, reaching speeds up to 252 kilometers per hour or more, and usually leave in their path, devastated cities and, in many cases, the death of people and animals.
So far, this is a proposal to broaden the scale, since, according to specialists, in the last decade five storms would have been classified with this new force.
The study underpinning this idea stresses that mega-hurricanes are increasingly likely due to global warming.
