During the Congress, regional and worldwide educational authorities will analyze the role of the university as an entity to enable sustainable development.

According to the website of the Congress, professors will also debate the internationalization of superior education, cooperation, and the need for mutual recognition of studies.

Other topics are the digital transformation of superior education and university governance and sector financing.

A meeting in preparation for the 3rd Regional Conference of Superior Education (CRES18+5) will also take place with the goal of agreeing on the report to be presented in Brazil, the seat of the upcoming event in March, based on exchanges and synergies between the participants in the analyses.

University 2024 constitutes a platform to share experiences and know-how between academics and experts from 40 countries.

According to Cuba’s Superior Education Minister, Walter Baluja, the celebration of the Congress is of great importance as this is the first such event in the post-pandemic period.
