The purpose is to guarantee a regular, orderly and safe migration and also to face the negative phenomena associated with irregular migration including human trafficking and illegal smuggling of migrants.
The meeting was co-chaired by Honduran Deputy Foreign Minister Antonio García, and the Director of the National Migration Institute Allan Alvarenga.
On the Cuban side, Laura Ivet Pujol, Director General a.i. of Consular Affairs and Attention to Cubans Resident Abroad at the Foreign Ministry (MINREX), led the Cuban delegation.
