At the Cuba-Russia Forum, held in the framework of the 14th International Congress on Higher Education University 2024, the Cuban minister remarked that despite geographical distances, both nations share common interests and “a traditional familiarity that has allowed us to work together with professionalism.”

Mr. Baluja praised current state of bilateral relations in educational matters, while expressing his confidence these ties can be expanded in the intercultural and friendship.

Baluja also indicated that the Forum´s main goal is to expand the number of collaborative projects, involving a greater number of professionals and students.

Meanwhile, the Rector of the Moscow State Linguistic University, Irina Kraeva, stressed the significance of collaboration to strengthen higher education, and also highlighted the importance of the Congress as the perfect setting participants to strengthen the historical Cuba-Russia relations.

Kraeva stated that both nations consider education as top-priority for national development.
